SHIFT survey on remote interpreting: help us!

The SHIFT project needs your precious help!

One of the project goals is carrying out a market survey on remote interpreting, in order to understand how much, how, when remote interpreting is used and who uses it. The final aggregate results will feed into project outputs and will be presented at our next event in Venice, Italy, in October (more info coming soon). The survey is anonymous and takes about 15 minutes.

There are two surveys, one for interpreters and one for users (and potential users) of remote interpreting.

Fourth SHIFT transnational meeting and multiplier event at Pablo de Olavide University (Seville)

The fourth SHIFT transnational meeting was held in Seville on January 31/February 1, 2017, and hosted by Pablo de Olavide University.

Before the meeting, SHIFT partners presented the project to students at Pablo de Olavide, and a very productive and interesting question/answer session developed after the presentation.

Third SHIFT transnational meeting in Granada

The third SHIFT transnational meeting was held in Granada on November 3 and 4, 2016.

Before the meeting, partners presented the project, its main goals and objectives at the Facultad de Traducción e Interpretación of the University of Granada.

After the presentation, partners gathered in the beautiful Carmen de la Victoria to discuss contents, share expertise on project progress and plan future steps.

Remote Interpreting Workshop: Training, Research And Business

The event Workshop di interpretazione a distanza: Formazione, Ricerca e Impresa (Remote interpreting workshop: Training, Research and Business) was held on the October 18th, 2016 in Forlì, hosted by the Department of Interpreting and Translation of the University of Bologna.

The workshop was opened by Rafael Lozano Miralles, head of the Department of Interpreting and Translation, Félix San Vicente, Board Coordinator of the Forlì Campus and Scientific Coordinator of the SHIFT Project, and Raoul Mosconi, Councillor of the Municipality of Forlì.

UPDATE: Forlì, October 18, 2016: Remote Interpreting Workshop: Training, Research And Business

Avvenimento

On October 18, 2016, an event titled "Remote Interpreting Workshop: Training, Research and Business" will be held in Forlì, at the Department of Interpreting and Translation.

The final programme is almost ready, and will be published soon!

The Workshop will be held at the Forlì Campus, Aula 10 Teaching Hub - Viale Filippo Corridoni, 20. 

It is planned to start at 10.00 and finish at 16.00, and will include presentations from academic researchers, institutions, professionals and newly-graduates.
