Unibo SHIFT members meet local stakeholders in Forlì

On June 8th, in the Forlì Campus, the Director of the Department of Interpreting and Translation (DIT) Rafael Lozano together with SHIFT local members Félix San Vicente (Coordinator), Mariachiara Russo and Nicoletta Spinolo presented the SHIFT project to local stakeholders thus generating an interesting and stimulating exchange of ideas and expertise. Invited institutions were: Chamber of Commerce of Forlì-Cesena, Ser.In.Ar. (a Consortium of public and private entities), AUSL Area Vasta Romagna (Local Health Unit), Questura (Local Police Headquarters) and Prefettura (Prefecture) of Forlì-Cesena, Phonetica SpA, the Municipality of Forlì and the T&I professional associations AITI, Assointerpreti and TradInFo.

Félix San Vicente focused on the international dimension of the project and on the quality of teaching in connection with research and the data provided by specialized companies (Dualia SL and VEASYT Srl).

Alberto Zambianchi, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Forlì-Cesena, highlighted the importance of remote interpreting for trade and for the setting up of new spinoff companies in the new socioeconomic scenario.

Other institutional representatives, namely  Cristina Ramolacci from the Prefettura and Alfredo Catenaro from the Questura of Forlì-Cesena, described the current situation of the interpreting services in their institutions and suggested possible synergies to improve the quality of  the service provided.

Elisabetta Minetto  from AITI talked about the current situation of the professional certification of interpreters and praised the didactic content of SHIFT, especially the lifelong learning component for AITI members.

Participants were invited to participate and cooperate for a dissemination event  that will take place in the Forlì Campus on October 18th, 2016. More info on the event coming soon!
